I am so excited to welcome you!
I have been a hairdresser in the eclectic Lower Haight of San Francisco for the last 10 years. I recently relocated and am now an independent stylist at Studio J Salon in Benicia! If you are here, you are ready for a change. You're over the same old tired cut and color and you're craving something more. You want to be heard. You want to express yourself in a way you never have and you want your insides to match your outsides. I have a passion for textured cuts, creating movement and airiness with razor. Hair that you can style or not, but always looks great and feels like you. My years of coloring has guided me into a love of natural color palettes. Using todays newest techniques in innovative ways that all have this "She was born with it" feel, even if you weren't.
In my career, I have pursued extensive training in Sassoon, Bumble and bumble, and Wella cutting and coloring techniques. This mix gives my clients structure and purpose with the perfect, not so perfect look. I was a technical color specialist for Wella, where I traveled to salons around Northern California teaching the latest in color. When I left my previous salon (to have a baby!) I was the education director, where I organized the apprentice training program and taught color and cutting classes. That passion for education drives me today. I am always bettering myself to deliver you an experience unlike any other.
One of my proudest moments was in 2016, when I won the national division of the prestigious American Crew All Star Challenge in men's styling. I was flown to Paris, France to represent our country and compete with 13 other international hairdressers. Competition and editorial work has been and is an ongoing passion of mine. It allows me to push boundaries and express myself in ways that aren't always possible day to day in the salon. But don't be surprised if I ask to take photos of our visit! These mini photoshoots literally give me life and you a new profile pic!
To me, being a hairstylist is of course about the hair. But it's really about you, wether it's a maintenance root touch up to keep them guessing or a power move into a new you. It's your self-expression, it's art, and it's a relationship.
Because it's not just Hair.
I look forward to meeting you!
